Emote-kuns are the manifestation of the emotions felt by various characters throughout Let's Play. They provide a visual marker of how they can impact a person as they go about their normal day.

Biography

Background

Emote-kuns come in several varieties and tend to show up when someone is experiencing that particular emotion most strongly. Although they have an effect on several people like Angela, Marshall, and Sam they aren't seen directly. Vikki though does seem able to perceive the existence of the Emote-kuns.

Personality

  • Anxiety is like a leech, attaching itself to the person and slowly taking over their mind making them question their decisions.
  • Confrontation is somewhat sadistic which cackles at the impotence in following through when dealing with another person, and creates numerous hypothetical endings leaving the person embarrassed.
  • Depression is a silent shadow that hovers near the person enveloping them with its dark aura.
  • Fear is a massive Emote-kun dwarfing many of the others and its effects are proportionately large.
  • Friendship is the most heroic of the Emote-kuns and appears when suppression of other emotions are needed to defend their friends.
  • Jealousy is the territorial type and arises to challenge any potential competitor for something that a person has laid claim to.
  • Personal Space is very much like an angry cat that has decided it doesn't want any attention at the moment. It will hiss and spit to indicate it's displeasure with any attempts to approach within it's bubble.
  • Rage is another massive Emote-kun on a similar scale to Fear and there is a wildness and nearly uncontrollable part to it.
  • ecnedifnoC-fleS's strength lies in how the person sees themselves and can vary especially when they receive support from others.

Appearance

  • Anxiety is a gray color and has a tendency to drool as it feasts on the thoughts it forces it's victim to revisit.
  • Confrontation is a dark red color and typically sports a wicked grin revealing a mouth full of disturbingly stained teeth.
  • Depression is a black color and is often even more insubstantial than the other Emote-kuns though this varies with the depth of emotion being felt.
  • Fear is a dark gray color and is heavily scarred all around its over-sized form.
  • Friendship is a a light blue color and very muscular with tattoos of "Trust" and "Loyalty" across its pecs. Friendship is also known to have a smirk while quelling other Emote-kuns with impunity.
  • Jealousy is a green color and silently observes.
  • Personal Space is a blue color with two sharp fangs and is usually in a defensive posture.
  • Rage is a bright red color with an intense inner fire that threatens to consume everything and it scarred just as Fear is.
  • ecnedifnoC-fleS is a light grayish-white color and mirrors the person's perception of their own worth. Sometimes it appears as a malnourished, skeletal figure but also can look much heartier when boosted by compliments from other people.

Relationships

Angela

  • Fear is nearly always just underneath the surface for her ready to reach and drag her into unpleasant memories of the past.
  • Rage often is what burns away Fear but it can be even more dangerous as it is not overly concerned with who it harms.

Marshall Law

  • Depression is a frequent companion to him though gaming and kindness from others helps to reduce the negativity it creates.

Sam Young

  • Anxiety shows up when she begins to step outside of her normal comfort zone trying to convince her to return to a more established way of living.
  • Confrontation usually steps in just before she can bring herself to address the person she wants to.
  • Friendship flexes its muscles when her friends really need her preventing the other Emote-kuns from interfering.
  • Jealousy has long lain dormant within her but has recently awoken as others have begun to show an interest in the same person she has.
  • Personal Space often appears when she is forced to interact with people she doesn't feel entirely comfortable around.
  • ecnedifnoC-fleS is present most often when she tries to evaluate her own worth but she usually underestimates herself, weakening the Emote-kun in the process.

Vikki

She can see at least some of the Emote-kuns that affect people while she is around.
