Indigineer is a website where game developers can post their creations for others to download, play, rate, and review. For developers high ratings and positive reviews provide a chance to be scouted by an existing game company. For users to leave reviews or rate games they currently only require an account. This has proven to create a bit of a loophole as negative ratings and reviews could be posted without actually trying the game following the fiasco with Ruminate. In order to correct this Sam Young is working on a proposal from Young Technologies to create a software that could track whether users have downloaded and/or played games and possibly restrict reviews based on those criteria.
