Ruminate is the puzzle adventure game created by Sam Young. As her first game she spent much of her time in college working on it and finishing it up following graduation. The creation of many of the puzzles was assisted by Link Hudson as he also interested in mythology and fables. The artwork for Ruminate was done by another of Sam's friends from college Jasmine and so many of the characters resemble other of Sam's friends.
Posted on the Indigineer site Ruminate garnered a very respectable score of 8.2 out of 10 after just over a month. However after a review was posted by Marshall Law where he struggled making progress his fan based swamped the site with negative reviews causing the score to plummet to a depressing 0.3. To make matters worse the unusual surge in traffic caused Sam's profile to be suspended.
Characters
- Grandmother - This character is modeled after Edgar.
- Kat-kin - These are a race of NPCs (Non-Player Characters) that occupy the world of Ruminate, including one who operates as a merchant when players first begin their game.
- Little Red Riding Hood - This character is modeled after Olivia.
- Queen's Ranger - This character is modeled after Abe Calhoun.
- Troll - This character is modeled after Dallas Hudson.
- Witch - This character is modeled after Vikki Song.
