Umed Patel is a Software Designer who has worked at Young Technologies for a number of years. He is an important member of the team and typically works on the GUI (Graphical User Interface) of the software that the company creates. For the latest project Umed was again assigned to handle the GUI and instruct a new intern Jacob who has recently started at the company. However Umed convinces his manager Charles Jones to allow Sam to take on that role instead knowing that she deserves the opportunity, and has repeatedly expressed a desire to work on GUI desgin.
Umed is also an avid gamer and is often eager to share his most recent accomplishments with Sam whom he knows to be a fellow gamer. He also enjoys geeking out with Sam about the progress she and her guild have made in World of Warquest.
Personality
Umed is a fairly extroverted individual, at least around his co-workers at Young Technologies. He has a good sense of humor and isn't bothered by sharing a laugh at work even if the joke isn't the most professional. Umed is also a very kind and caring person as demonstrated by his efforts to help Sam get work experience she's desired despite having to take on more grunt work himself.
